Update: Hostel Keeper's Actions

Imagine my susrprise when I was present to hear the hostel keeper discuss her job with another German woman.  It was a litany of how difficult it is to work with the university: they don't do things the way she thinks they need to be done, they don't communicate with her correctly, they aren't responsible, etc.....  Jus the day before she analyzed the German people as too cantankerous, too picky about how things are done, not loose enough.  Hmmm, was it socialized behavior, i.e., saying what would be accepted by this other person as appropriate musings about the university?  I was and remain confused.
